The Folly

Seasoned and now ‘legendary’ bar developers Drake & Morgan commissioned Fileturn to carry out a shell fit out of 41 Gracechurch Street, a 13000 sq m site opposite London Bridge.

This was the second development Fileturn had been commissioned to build, working closely with Fusion Design & Architecture, whose distinctive design for the new bar and restaurant encompassed a huge range of bespoke finishes form a wide variety of materials.

Split over two levels, the floors are linked by a dramatic self supporting bespoke feature stair. This links the ground floor restaurant and bar to the more formal basement area and private dining rooms.

In addition to our specialist finishes, Fileturn had to create a ‘room within a room’ to achieve the required soundproofing, and install an entire M&E infrastructure within these layers.

As always, part of Fileturn’s package to our client is to take charge of the clients’ directly employed specialist trades to programme, organise and co-ordinate them to ensure we are all working towards our common goal of success.
