American brand The Palm, in London’s Mayfair

Fileturn is working with American restaurant chain The Palm to create its first British restaurant. The work transforming the well known Drones restaurant in Mayfair, is due for completion in May.

The Palm, famous for its high quality steak and seafood menu, was founded in New York in 1926 and now spans 25 major cities across the US.

A key element being imported to the UK is The Palm’s distinctive décor – the walls of each restaurant are covered with caricatures of national celebrities and local regulars. The tradition started 80 years ago when founders Pio Bozzi and John Ganzi, who had no money to decorate, would commission cartoons from local newspapermen in exchange for a plate of spaghetti.
